Fox PassFox Pass was one of the best groups of the classic “Rat” era of the mid –late seventies. I played several gigs with them back then and later produced and performed with Jon Macey in Macey’s Parade in 1993-94. I always wanted to produce them back then even though I probably would not have known what the hell I was doing. Philip HamiltonPhilip is one of the greatest voices of our time as well as a great friend. He's been the featured vocalist with Pat Metheny, Donald Fagen, Mike Stern, and LaVern Baker. We toured together with LaVern in the 1989-1992 era and have written songs and worked together ever since. He and I wrote and produced this album and it features many great players and singers we have worked with including Peter Jones, Lionel Cordue, Carl Carter, Walter Platt, Joe Martino, Thaddeus Hogarth, Bill Evans, Chieli Manucci, Tim Ingles, Tim Jackson, Frank Wilkins, and my brother Kevin Marshall, as well as the engineering talents of Bill Crabtree and Pete Peloquin.
