I have been producing Cape Verdean artist Dany Silva on three albums over the last couple of years. The first has been released, and he is touring in support of it. His New England tour was this past fall.
Dany released his new album, Caminho Longi, in Potugal last summer, where it is a rousing success. Four songs, “Farra na Sanzala”, “Foi por ela”, “‘Nhâ Cretcheu,’nhâ Perdiçon ”, and “Mamã Àfrica”, have received substantial airplay on DSF, Radio Africa, RTP 1, Radio Commercial. His album has been a featured release in all of the FNAC retail stores. Dany performed live and was interviewed on national television shows in Portugal like RTP1, 6FIC, TVI, and RTP Africa.
Caminho Longi was released in the United States in the fall of 2008 and Dany supported it with a New England Tour. He performed four shows in November, and made numerous radio and television appearances in the area.
